The Relais Hotel Des Alpes in Soraga has always been a family-run business. A warm welcoming atmosphere has always been one of our features: we are always present, discreetly and with particular care.
A skilled builder, Gianfranco used to be a ski instructor and cook in fashionable tourist resorts of the 1970s. He dreamed of building a hotel on the very land his father Giovanni gave him, so this is where the Relais Hotel Des Alpes was built.
His dream has become our every-day life, and he shares with our guests information of the hiking trails, traditions, emotions and secrets of these wonderful Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ever renewed love.
Although her origins are not Ladin, she always wears a Dirndl, the traditional Tyrolean dress: from the morning smile at breakfast, to the goodnight greeting in the evening, Paola is always helpful and attentive.
In her free time, she loves to be with her grandchildren and take care of her flowers which are everywhere.
With Gianfranco she has always been the beating heart of the long love affair called Relais Hotel Des Alpes, which binds us all.
Lorenzo is our first chef and he is the master behind all the most delicious creations that are offered at the Relais Hotel Des Alpes restaurant.
Very fussy and always looking for natural and zero-kilometre ingredients: the quality and taste of the dishes he prepares certainly prove him right, and give great satisfaction. Don’t miss Lorenzo’s spectacular Apple Strudel: ask him to reveal you its secret.
Our globetrotter! Before putting down roots at the Relais Hotel Des Alpes, she graduated as an interpreter in Bologna.
She lived abroad until she heard the call and love for her big house surrounded by greenery among fir trees and deer to keep her company.
Francesca attends every aspect of the business at the hotel: she will welcome you into the warmth of our home and accompany you throughout your vacation with great passion.
Andrea has always lived here, but in the last few years he has sort of moved. We say this because, despite not living at the hotel, luckily he is always here with us: in summer and in winter he always looks after the outdoor spaces and is very helpful.
